Problems with ADB driver for Sky Controller

#1

Product: [SkyController + Bebop]
Product version: [X.X.X] + Bebop version: [X.X.X]
SDK version: [4.2.2]
SDK platform: [Android/Windows]

I want to make an app for the skycontroller.

the app will communicate with another android device via WIFI and sockets.
But I have problems getting the USB conntection to work. I have followed the description in skycontrollerdev.pdf but it does not work.

  • I am sure the cable work because i have tested it with a ASUS tablet.
Any ideas to what might be the problem?

Hi,

Could you tell us a bit more about how your setup? When do you plug the cable, on which port?
What do you mean by “it does not work”.

Best regards,

I switch on the skycontroller with only a monitor and a mouse and wait until freeflight has startet
then I press the back key and exit freeflight
then i connect a micro usb cable to the skycontroller and the other end to the computer.
Now when I compile and run the skycontroller is not on the list of devices to run.

However since my last post I have tried to reinstall the ADB driver for the skycontroller and this time I think it works. The diver is Google driver 11.0.0.0, hardware ID is 0525. But the procedure that is described in the guide with adding 0x0525 to adb_usb.ini does not work.

Now my next step is to make a minimal app that runs on the skycontroller. I use Android Studio and it also gives some troubles setting the api to 17 (4.2.2)
