Turning off one of motors during flight

Product: Rolling Spider

Hello. I’m student and i want to write my Diploma Thesis about maintaining stability of drone after crash of one of motors. The drone my thesis advisor suggested for me is Parrot Rolling Spider because of it’s support for Matlab Simulink which is mainly used in our University. But my advisor didn’t knew one thing about this drone: Is it possible to turn off one of motors during flight, but by programm on my laptop, not manually by cutting wire or something like that? It will be really helpful if someone knew the answer

The “Parrot Getting Started” example model that is part of the Simulink Support package for Parrot Minidrones lets you control the individual motors of the drone using a 1*4 vector (each element of the vector corresponding to the motor speeds)

This might be a good starting point
