What is possible with the SDK and Mambo?

Hello community and moderators,
if I understand correctly I only can programm a controler for the Mambo drone?
Or is it possible to modify the behaviour of the drone from commands it gets?
I would like to tell the Ultrasonic sensor to let the mambo fly deeper like an
inch above the ground so it is easier to position and grab.
