Connecting external senors to Parrot AR.Drone


Hi everyone!

I’ve got 2 questions:

  1. How much flexible is Parrot AR.Drone platform? I mean, is it possible to connect some external sensors on that platform and handle communication with them, e.g. by UART or any other interface?

  2. Is Parrot AR.Drone official source code available? Where can I find it? I’ve been to Parrot-Developers github website, but there are so many repositories there that I got lost :slight_smile: In what programming language is it available (if is available at all)?

  1. This Droneduino article shows how to connect an AR Drone 2.0 to an Audrino device via TTL / USB serial communication.

  2. The software used on the AR Drone 2.0 itself is closed source and not available, but the official source code for connecting clients is written in C and available in the Parrot SDK 2.0.1 (Official):
