Illumination of Sequoia images; Sort cloudy images out

I use a Parrot sequoia for vegetation monitoring with a drone. Sometimes the illumination changes during a flight due to clouds passing or changing in thickness. For proper processing, I need to sort out images affected by clouds. I was thinking about writing a script that extracts exposure or light intensity from the sensor per image and print it as a list. I then could go in and see when exposure changes and exclude those images. I was wondering where the relevant information is stored and how I can extract it per image or flight. Is there a common workflow for this?
