It finds two devices, the Intel device, and a software device llvmpipe. It doesnât find your nvidia GPU. You may need to reboot to see the effect of prime-select nvidia
. You can try nvidia-smi
to check the state of your nvidia device. At last resort, you can disable the Intel device in your bios to make sure that you use the nvidia device at all time.

I dont understund why nvidia-smi dint find my device.
but with lspci -vnn | grep VGA -A 12 is see the nvidia gpu !
Disable Secure Boot in BIOS/UEFI.
I am still facing same problem, even if i tried many thinks âŚ
GPU working well witn windows 10 because I have dual boot.
for secureboot is disabled :

Have you tried to disable the Intel device in your bios? There may be an âhybridâ option that you can turn off.
yes, I disabled it I only using PEG , like primary display
You may need to install an oldest driver:
sudo apt purge nvidia-driver*
sudo apt install nvidia-driver-525
