How does the obstacle avoidance work in the FreeFlight app?
I have found out how to calibrate the stereo camera gimbal here, but based on the description of the calibration process it seems like there may be something else.
Drone flies up
Gimbal rotates
Does it need to do anything with the cameras themselves or just the gimbal?
Please let me know what steps I need to take with the GroundSDK to calibrate the obstacle avoidance from my app so I don’t have to open the Freeflight app to do it
Well, you need to calibrate the stereo camera with an embedded mission, but it is a quite complex process which is not fully documented. The simplest way is to use FreeFlight.
Any update on this process? I understand that there may need to be some action from the pilot, but could you let me know what API methods to call and what the pilot needs to do in order to get the obstacle avoidance calibrated.
Also, I mistyped the title for this post, it should be “Obstacle Avoidance Calibration” if anyone has the power to change that.
